Using WGR
These terms apply when you browse or use Weedy Garage Radio (WGR), including the player, schedule, artist and music pages, Members area, Forum, forum, forms, WGR Top 10 and other community features. By using WGR you agree to follow these terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not use the interactive features.
Accounts and security
One WGR member account may be used across the Members area, forum. Give accurate information when creating or updating it, keep sign-in details private and tell WGR if you believe an account has been misused. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity resulted from a failure for which WGR is responsible. WGR may restrict, suspend or close an account to protect users, enforce these terms or comply with law.
Forum, forum and community conduct
Topics, replies, profile content, uploaded images and forum replies must follow the same community standards. Do not post unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, deceptive, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive, infringing or malicious material. Do not impersonate others, spam, manipulate votes, evade moderation, distribute malware or attempt unauthorised access. Links and GIFs must be relevant and safe. WGR may hide or remove content, close or move topics, restrict posting or forum access, suspend or ban accounts, and preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary for moderation, security or legal compliance.
Profiles, ranks and staff powers
Member profiles may show public account details, Forum activity and an automatic activity rank. Automatic ranks are based on eligible visible Forum topics and replies, may change when activity changes, and do not grant moderator or administrator powers. Staff roles and moderation powers are assigned separately by WGR. Do not misuse a badge, rank or profile to impersonate staff or mislead other members.
Music and other submissions
Only submit music, artwork, profile information or other material that you own, control or are authorised to provide. You keep ownership of your material. You give WGR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to review, store, format and display the submitted material for WGR editorial, scheduling, discovery and promotional purposes until it is removed from WGR. This permission does not allow WGR to sell ownership of your work. You may request correction or removal, subject to reasonable records WGR must retain.
Voting and editorial decisions
WGR may set eligibility periods, entry limits and anti-abuse rules for community voting. Automated or manipulated voting may be removed. A submission, vote or listing does not guarantee promotion, publication, chart position or continued availability. Editorial and moderation decisions remain with WGR.
External platforms and links
WGR links to or embeds services operated by other organisations. Those services control their content, accounts, playback, availability, advertising, data use and terms. WGR does not endorse every statement or item available through an external destination and is not responsible for a provider’s service.
Availability and accuracy
WGR aims to keep schedules, links and information useful, but live features and third-party content can change or fail without notice. WGR may change, pause or withdraw a feature for maintenance, security, editorial or operational reasons. Do not rely on WGR as the only record of a booking, licence, release or legal deadline.
Rights and liability
WGR’s name, branding, original text, layout and site code are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party music, artwork, marks and media remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or applicable consumer rights. Subject to those rights, WGR is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for failures caused by an external platform or event outside reasonable control.
Changes and law
WGR may update these terms when the service or law changes. The review date shows the latest published version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while any mandatory rights you have where you live continue to apply. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear a dispute. Contact WGR first where practical so the issue can be reviewed.
Online safety, reports and complaints
WGR operates community areas where members can share content. WGR uses proportionate moderation, reporting and complaints processes for unlawful content and breaches of these terms. Use /contact to report content or challenge a moderation decision; include the exact page, topic, message or username and explain the concern. WGR assesses reports, preserves relevant records where lawful, and removes or restricts illegal content when required. These processes support WGR’s duties under the Online Safety Act 2023 where that Act applies. WGR considers user privacy, freedom of expression, child access and safety when reviewing its measures.
Saved favourites and notifications
Saved artists and music belong to your member account. You can remove saved items and choose whether your favourites appear on your public profile. Public sharing does not make another person’s music yours. Reply and mention notifications are generated from forum activity; they may not arrive immediately and are not an emergency or guaranteed delivery service.
Event topics and ticket links
Event-bot topics are automated listings, not posts from the event organiser or independent confirmations that an event is going ahead. Dates, age limits, venues, line-ups, descriptions and images may change. Check the linked official ticket page and organiser before travelling or paying. WGR does not sell the ticket, take the booking or decide refunds; those arrangements are with the ticket seller and organiser, subject to your legal rights. Do not use bot accounts to impersonate organisers or members.
Reporting and appealing a decision
Use “Report topic” for a forum issue, /dmca-report for a copyright claim, or /contact and admin@weedygarageradio.xyz for account restrictions, moderation appeals or other safety concerns. Include the exact URL, relevant username and reasons. WGR may request clarification, restrict content during review and assess a decision again when new evidence is supplied. Do not repost removed material to bypass review. These channels are not monitored continuously; contact emergency services for immediate danger.
