# MC Crazy T – North East Makina / New Monkey MC **MC Crazy T** is a North East Makina MC with connections to the **New Monkey sound** and the modern North East rave scene. His recordings continue to circulate online, and unlike many names preserved only on old tapes, Crazy T remains active and is still recording and performing in **2026**. ## The New Monkey Connection The official New Monkey archive contains: **DJ Burn-E – MC Crazy T** This places Crazy T directly within the surviving New Monkey recording archive. It's another recording worth preserving as we gradually rebuild the history of the DJs and MCs who were involved with the North East Makina scene. ## Crazy T & MC Banks Crazy T has also worked with **Middlesbrough MC Banks**. In 2021, Cranked Studios released: **Lyrical Rebels** featuring: **MC Crazy T MC Banks DJ Detox** The recording mixes Makina, Hard Techno and Hard Trance – styles closely connected with the North East rave scene. ## Cranked Studios Crazy T returned to Cranked Studios for another session in 2023: **4 Track Attack** with: **DJ Crank MC Banks MC Crazy T** The recording was tagged **North East Makina** and **Redcar**, giving us another useful Teesside connection for the WGR archive. ## Banks, Simpson & Crazy T In 2024, Makina Addicts UK released a three-way microphone session featuring: **MC Banks MC Simpson MC Crazy T** The recording runs for more than an hour and shows Crazy T performing alongside two other MCs from the modern North East Makina circuit. ## Crazy T & Turbo D – 2026 Crazy T is still producing new material. In February 2026, Makina Addicts UK released: **MC Turbo D & MC Crazy T – 2026** This is particularly interesting because Turbo D belongs to the older New Monkey generation. Putting Turbo D and Crazy T together shows how the current Makina scene continues to mix established North East MCs with performers from later generations. ## Crazy For The Noize Crazy T also released a solo set in March 2026: **Crazy For The Noize – MC Crazy T Solo Set** mixed by **DJ Noize**. The recording is specifically tagged **Rave / Makina**. So Crazy T isn't simply appearing as an extra MC on other people's recordings – there's modern solo material available under his own name as well. ## Still Performing in 2026 Crazy T is also appearing live in the North East. On **26 September 2026**, he's billed for **Bounce Sessions Sunderland** alongside DJ Alan Benn. The line-up includes: **Andy Whitby x MC Tazo DJ Armaz x MC Stompin Alan Benn x MC Crazy-T HyperNoiz x MC Rockeye CH4SINGTHEHIGH x Davey Blast** That's a great example of different generations of North East MC culture appearing on the same bill. ## Keeping North East Makina Moving Crazy T's story demonstrates that North East Makina isn't purely an archive scene. We can find him in the New Monkey recording archive, working with Teesside's MC Banks, recording with Turbo D and releasing his own new material. And in 2026 he's still getting behind the microphone at North East events. That's why **MC Crazy T deserves a place in the WGR North East Rave Archive.** --- ## Do You Remember MC Crazy T? Have you seen **Crazy T performing around the North East**? Do you remember any of his older sets? Have you heard the sessions with **Banks, Simpson or Turbo D**? If you've got old Crazy T recordings, CDs, flyers, photographs or memories, post them below. Let's keep documenting the people who helped build – and are still building – the **North East Makina scene**. **Weedy Garage Radio – Keeping North East Rave History Alive.**
